The Federation of Hellenic American Societies of New England recently held its first General Assembly with the new Board of Directors. This meeting marked the beginning of a hopeful and ambitious chapter in our organization’s history, focusing on growth, collaboration, and innovation.

We are thrilled to announce the addition of a new member to our Federation: The Boston Lykeion Ellinidion. This esteemed society brings a wealth of cultural heritage and vibrant community spirit, and we look forward to working together to preserve and promote Hellenic culture in New England.

Key Discussions and Future Goals

During the assembly, Mr. Tsoumbanos delivered an insightful presentation on critical national issues in Greece. He emphasized how we, as a Federation, can play an active role in contributing to solutions and strengthening ties with our homeland.

Our Leap into the Future: A New Website

Mr. Nikos Psikarakis unveiled the Federation’s new and improved website, a project brought to life with the support and guidance of John Koveos and George Kyriazidis. The new platform allows us to:

• List and promote upcoming events
• Sell tickets seamlessly
• Accept donations to support our mission
• Keep our community connected and informed

This initiative brings the Federation into 2025, fostering a stronger and more accessible connection with our members and supporters.

Save the Date: The Parade Returns

President Eleni Vidalis announced that our much-anticipated parade is tentatively scheduled for April 27, 2025, pending final approval from the Mayor’s Office of Consumer Affairs and Licensing. Stay tuned for updates as we work to make this event a grand celebration of our heritage.
